My sister and I had life-threatening accidents the exact same day. Did God try to punish us?
From a Biblical Christian stance, God doesn’t CAUSE painful experiences. That doesn’t mean He won’t let it happen, nor does it mean that He won’t use those same painful experiences for His purposes. He does and He will. (Read Job) ALL things work for the GOOD OF THOSE WHO love God and are called according to His purpose. If God permitted this to happen for some reason it was to help you in some way, perhaps to edify you and help you grow spiritually or align you both for what God has planned for your family. Or, if you’re not yet a Christian, perhaps you needed the nudge to realize that life is fleeting and it is time to repent and trust in Christ.
The causer of our painful experiences is here on earth. It’s the brokenness of sinful humanity hurting one another, it’s the brokenness of Earth itself because of our sin (everything dies, disease, natural disaster), and it’s the will of Satan’s army here on earth to kill, steal, and destroy. It might have just been a coincidence. Humans are flawed, and we fail to be responsible drivers all the time. However, you specifically asked me to answer, and mentioned God, so I will assume that you feel that there might have been a spiritual attack on your family so I will respond accordingly.
IF you WERE targeted and attacked it was Satan. (To be clear not the Satan, but a demon on assignment.) Don’t hate or be angry with God because evil exists. Hate sin and evil and those who cause it. Hate your own sin because people like you and I are part of the problem. If you were both attacked to be killed then God intervening to protect you is the ONLY reason that they weren’t successful.
There are generally two main reasons an attack like this would happen. (There’s a third but unless you have some serious witchcraft or occultism somewhere in yours or your sister’s lives you’re probably okay on that). You likely would either have a curse of death in your family line or you’re both very devoted to God and are therefore a spite target. If you had a curse in your bloodline you would notice a long history of early and unexpected deaths in your family. There would also likely be family members with suicidal or homicidal thoughts, previous abortions, etc. (anything murder or vengeance related). If you suspect this, learn about curse breaking yourself or contact me for deliverance ministry.
At the end of the day be thankful that you’re both okay and alive! Thank God for that! If you and your sister haven’t been saved yet, God may have rescued you for that very reason! Repent of your sins and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Pray daily, read the Bible daily, and follow what it teaches and find a good local church and get plugged in. Find a church that is loving, accepting, and community-oriented, teaches the doctrine of the Trinity, and believes that we’re Saved by Grace through Faith in Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross. Blessings!
